Week of Wonderful Weather

I even have a way of finding horses downtown Toronto (near our house)

I spent the week in the saddle, and today, for a difference, bareback ; )

Weather likes this beckons me to the farm. It’s like the call of the wild especially after a very musically driven couple of weeks. It’s my tonic.

I’ve also been feeling a bit better, so the riding has felt good on both Gypsy and Beaumont. Riding around the orchard, the hay fields, the meadows and the woods. Why would I want to be in the city with all that calling to me?!

Also we enjoyed Cavalia, the Cirque Du Soleil-esque horse circuis. It was astonishing. Tom has now joked (?) that he’d like to try some trick riding. I will try and discourage him ; ) Although I did race out to the farm the next day and find a ditch that Beaumont and I could leap over. WOW it was a great feeling!

Gypsy was very useful in woods-pruning: every spring for ten years I’ve taken my shielded clippers out to take down the branches that tend to smack us in the face when we ride through. Gypsy is very good at halting under a tree, and standing while I clip the branch. She has no problem with the tree-branches falling down on us. She is so cool. What a pony.

Well, that’s all the exciting news I have to share: horses horses horses. Good good good. Now, back into the recording studio this week just in time to avoid the muggy weather. All in moderation of course.
